FAQ

  • Death Grip Ceramics is a black female run studio specializing in functional hand-built and wheel thrown ceramics. All pieces are one of a kind, limited run, and made / released in small batches.

  • A quick rinse under cool water is suggested for all smoking pipes and vessels prior to use.

It’s best to hand wash your pieces, avoid excessive microwave use, and avoid putting hot liquids in your item for extended periods of time. Note that if you’re putting them through radical temperature changes, your piece can break.

There are a few ways to clean your pieces:

    - If it's a pipe, you can put a pinch of salt and isopropyl alcohol inside, plugging the holes with your fingers and shake it up to dislodge any interior chunkies - rinse with warm water, repeat if necessary, and dry.

    - Use a cotton swab or cotton pad dipped in isopropyl alcohol to clean any resins or ashy stains, then rinse and dry

All clay and glazes are food-safe

  • We don't accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations.

I’ll do all I can to ensure your items are packaged carefully, but accidents can happen during the shipping process. In the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged or broken, please contact me within 3 days of delivery with images of the damage to coordinate a refund.

Death Grip Ceramics ships domestically only at this time, with a flat fee for shipping. Items are shipped out as soon as possible, however please allow 2-5 between the date of purchase and the shipping.

Items are often shipped using recycled boxes or recycled packaging materials, so expect odd boxes or materials and please reuse or recycle them yourself.

  • can you custom order a piece?

yes, within reason, meaning you can't ask me to hand build you a fire breathing dragon clay pipe that also does your laundry - if you see something you like, use the contact form to reach me and we can coordinate the creation of a custom piece.

  • The shop usually gets updated once or twice per year - the ceramic process is long and tedious, so this gives me time to build up my stock, make pieces i love, and list them online. I’ll always keep future release dates here on the site.
